STATEMENT

Attraction and repulsion are primary forces driving cosmic, atomic, and subjective matter[s]. I explore the friction of these intra-actions through artmaking to expand and share personal ideology and experience.

Artists transfigure material, research, and intuition into external bodies and situations inspiring awareness and fresh understanding. My practice builds diagnostic representations of systemic failure alongside tools to imagine alternative ontologies. I negotiate the modes of production and visual languages utilized in mass media, popular culture, and art history, working through strategies of mimicry, spectacle, humor, poetics, sincerity, subversion, and invention. The work detangles power and value dynamics, bound as moving images, objects, installations, immersive experiences, and simulations, aiming to seduce engagement with critical realities and speculative possibilities for broad public legibility and accessibility.
